The second annual meeting of Alliance Against Cancer (Alleanza Contro il Cancro-ACC) will take place at OPBG from October 3rd to October 5th 2017. The meeting will focus on new genomic approaches to identify druggable targets in lung cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, melanoma, sarcoma and glioblastoma, together with new therapeutic strategies in adjuvant, neoadjuvant and metastatic settings. Recently the immunotherapy was launched as an additional and transversal working group and will be the objective of a specific section.
ACC is the largest Italian organization for cancer research. It was established in 2002 by the Italian Ministry of Health as a network of comprehensive cancer centers with high-standard patient care and research (IRCCS). The primary aim of ACC is to promote the network among cancer institutes pursuing mainly clinical and translational research in order to bring innovation in cancer diagnostics and treatment.
This meeting will bring together researchers from the 21 IRCCS belonging to ACC, the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, and representatives of cancer patient organization, to discuss the results of the research activity of the 8 WGs and design future successful collaboration within and outside our network.
